Safe Place Survivor Stories:

“I am a wife and stay-at-home mom of four active little boys. One night, I was sexually assaulted by one of my brother’s friends. I called my husband and started walking. He picked me up, took me to the police station and stayed with me through all the detective’s questions and the exam. The detective called an advocate from Safe Place to help me with the process I was going through and the feelings I was dealing with. It has been a lot to manage, but with my husband and the resources at Safe Place, I am able to take it one day at a time.”
